Meltham AC Club Dinner

Meltham Ac held it’s annual club dinner on Friday 16th of March at the Meltham Golf club. Thank you to Ruth Thomas and Gilly Markham for organising such a great event again for the club, which is great for catching up with old and new friends and throughly enjoyed by everyone. The Bamforth trophy for an outstanding contribution to the club in the past year was awarded to Penny Ditchfield who broke the Meltham Ladies 10k record, at Dewsbury in 38’55 a fantastic achievement.

The 2010 Annual Club Dinner was held at Durker Roods on Saturday 6th March. The trophy winners for the 2009/10 season were:

  • Mens Fell Champion – Ray McArthur
  • Summer Handicap Race Champion – Sharon Whitworth
  • Winter Handicap Race Champion – Giles Bailey
  • Team Champions – Graham Sykes, Andy Whitworth, Richard Beaumont
  • Run of the Year Winners – Fran Whitworth and Gilly Markham for Karrimor Mountain Marathon
  • Meltham 10k Shields – Rob James and Haley Lomas
